Military Sunday

The Rock Church invites all troops and their families this Military Sunday, May 27, during all 5 services!

On this Memorial Day we will, and should celebrate with gatherings and barbecues and many will enjoy a day off from work. But as we celebrate this holiday, we will pause to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice - the great Americans who gave their lives so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have today. We will never forget.

This Memorial Weekend, we invite all active and inactive men and women to help us remember those that have lost their lives serving our country, as well as celebrating their sacrifice and their beloved families with services in their honor. Pastor Miles McPherson will be talking about sacrifice and interviewing special guest, Jeff Bramstedt, retired Navy SEAL, during all five services on May 27th, at 8AM, 10AM, 12PM, 5PM and 7PM!

Our honored guests are invited to join us after each service for a special reception and small gift at our Point Loma campus.

This event is a great launchpad into our Military Ministry, where troops and families can receive support through small groups, bible studies, prayer and help outreach to the bases with God's love and hope.

Invite friends and family that would love to be recognized this Memorial Day! This is a great way to feel loved, get connected in a thriving and supportive community, and hear about God's love!

If you feel moved, please wear the appropriate uniform so you and your service can be properly recognized.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED: If God has put on your heart the desire to get involved or give back to the military and/or their families, we have many opportunities at the Rock to serve.

• Visit our Booths! The Rock Church is very excited to have local Military Community Organizations come and offer their time and resources. Organizations include: Life of Valor, REBOOT, and Unseen Wound. Eric Blehm, author of Fearless, will also be available for book signings in the Rockpile Bookstore after the 10AM service. 
• Get Connected to the Rock's Military Ministry! Come meet the amazing men and women of the Military Ministry that have a heart to serve active and inactive men and women as well as a group for spouses.
• Give Back to the Military: Visit the Rock's Greeting Card ministry and Care Package ministry booth's to give back! Write a card or bring items** and make a care package that you can send troops overseas. Show your love tangibly!

**If you feel moved to bring items for care packages, here are some ideas: baby wipes, tooth brushes and tooth paste, dental floss, shampoo, conditioner. chapstick, permanent markers, pens (black), flavor packets for water bottles, healthy snacks, fruit snacks, Kleenex (with lotion or anti-viral), games, underwear, socks, and books.
