Help Your Unused Shoes Find Their Sole Mates!
Rock Family, join us on Sunday, July 29 and walk in someone else's shoes...or more accurately...WITHOUT someone else's shoes!
Our church's passion to Change the World through outreach will bless hundreds of people around the world who don't own a single pair of shoes.
Did you know...
- Over 1.5 billion pairs of shoes lay idle in American closets
- Over 300 million children around the world are without shoes while more than 300 million are thrown into American landfills annually
- In places around the world such as Haiti, children are not allowed to attend school without a pair of shoes
How you can help:
- Clean out your closet of unused, gently used or just plain "I never wear these anymore" shoes
- On July 29, bring them to the Rock Church - either the Point Loma or North County campus - and drop them off in a marked bin (Or, if you are unable to come on July 29 and have shoes to donate, please bring them to Rock Thrift Store OR you can drop them off at the Launch Pad on Sundays starting 7/15 -just specify they are for Barefoot Sunday!)
- If you want, walk home (or at least back to your car) barefoot to experience what it's like to be without shoes!
- We'll send the shoes around the world to people who really need them!
(Note: if wearing the shoes you will donate to church, please drop them off after service.)
