Rock Your City Event - San Diego County Schools

PRE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.  PLEASE REGISTER DAY OF EVENT AT THE SCHOOL OF YOUR CHOICE.

The Rock Church is blessed to partner with Urban Youth Collaborative (UYC) again for their 4th annual School Beautification Day!  During the month of August, over 1500 volunteers from over 35 local churches will do meaningful work at 43 schools from San Ysidro, to inner-city San Diego, to Clairemont, to Oceanside, Escondido, San Marcos, and Santee.

What a way to bless kids and campuses as fall approaches.  The work we do in August paves the way for UYC's 45 church partners to operate faith based clubs at 70 campuses during the school year for 2,300 students every week.

Be a part of something amazing on Saturday, August 17 as we bring Pervasive Hope to community schools. We'll be painting, landscaping and cleaning up so when students come back, their school is ready! There are many locations to choose from, so bring your Community Group, your family and friends! Come on out and ROCK YOUR CITY!

THE SCHOOLS

What to wear/bring:
Closed toe shoes
Sunscreen
Hat
Long-sleeved shirts and long pants are strongly recommended

Food:
Lunch will not be provided; however, water and granola bars will be available throughout the morning.

NOTE:  The weather will be warm and beautiful, so please make every effort to use sunscreen and wear a hat or visor.  Also, drink plenty of fluids and stay hydrated!  There will be enough water onsite for two to three bottles per volunteer, but you may want to plan ahead and bring your own as well.
