Suitable for moderate and experience hikers.

Distance: 6.8 miles

Approximate time: 4.5 hours

Dogs allowed

Weather: Hike will be cancel if it rains. 

Trail Parking Fee: $5

What to bring?

-Good tennis/running/hiking shoes

-Comfortable clothing

-Sunscreen/Sunglasses

-Lots of Water or Vitamin water

DIRECTIONS: 

Trail Address: 14644 Lake Poway Rd  Poway, CA 92074

Exit interstate 15 at Rancho Bernardo Rod and go east. Rancho Bernardo Road becomes Espola Road as you enter the Poway city limits. Espola starts to curve south after about 3 miles. Drive a total of 4 miles from 1-15 to reach lake Poway Road. Turn left there and 0.5 mile into the Lake Poway Recreation Area.( If you are arriving from the south via Espola Road, Lake Poway is 2.7 miles north of Poway Rd.)
