"Do you have 5 minutes to save a life? Please consider joining the Be the Match bone marrow/stem cell donor registry on
Sunday May 31 from 8am to 2pm right here at Rock Church. If you're between the ages of 18-44, in good health, and willing to donate to anybody in need, it's free to join and you only have to fill out a consent form and do a cheek swab. You're then on the registry until you turn 61. Bone marrow/stem cell transplants are used to treat a number of blood diseases including leukemia and lymphoma; for some patients, a marrow transplant is their best or only chance of a cure. The Be the Match registry is currently almost 12 million strong but could always use more potential donors from all backgrounds to sign up to save lives.
