We're blessing an apartment complex in City Heights with a back to school bbq for low income families. Sarah, a woman we met during National Night Out, lives in this complex and wants to bring her neighborhood together. There is a mix of cultures from Sri Lanka, Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia and many others. Often they remain segregated.
September 19th we plan to bridge the gap and host a fun, inviting bbq for these neighbors and their kids. We'll need your talent and contributions to make it happen.
We are looking for volunteers to prepare a dish, bbq the food, setup, decorate, oversee games, help collect school supplies, break down, send out invitations, share Rock and community resource information, pray and be the light for these families.
If you are available please contact us via email at neighborly@sdrock.com.
