Carpool Meetup: 8:00am
Approximate Time: 3 hours with a devo at the top
Leave carpool location at 8:15
Difficulty: Moderate – dogs are not allowed on the trails in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park
Distance: 4.5 miles roundtrip with 850 ft elevation gain/loss
Weather: Hike will be cancelled if it rains A LOT!!
What to bring?
-Good tennis/running/hiking shoes
-Comfortable clothing
-Water/Vitamin water (3+ liters)
-Snacks/energy bar
-Cellphone
DIRECTIONS:
8 East to Highway 79 and turn left (North). Follow Highway 79 for 12 miles to the Paso Picacho campground (on the East/left hand side). Pay the day use fee at the entrance and park in the picnic area.
$8 per car to park - Cash is preferred as rangers may not have change - Checks are taken but not debit/credit cards per Jarrod.
