Prison-Wide Walk

On Saturday, October 15th from 8:30-10:30 a.m we are having a prison-wide walk on the yards to support the American Cancer Society-Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign. RJDCF Inmates will be donating monies from their trust accounts and also will be walking for 2 hours to show their support for the cause and those effected with the disease near and dear to all of us. It is a going to be a great event to bring positivity and awareness to the surrounding communities. Cancer effects so many of us, our families, friends and community. Inmates are also a part of that community and showing support in any way they can is a positive and powerful message. Most people may not realize that inmates can do something good even behind prison walls. We will be handing the American Cancer Society- Making Strides Against breast Cancer campaign a check on that day for the amount that we receive from inmate and staff donations. What we are in need of at this time are donations of food and drink items to give the inmates on that date to show appreciation for what they are doing to make a difference. It is always special for them to receive food from the outside, it is a very rare occasion when that happens.
