Follow Me: The Cost of Discipleship (Part 3)

In Matthew 4:19, Jesus extended an invitation to all of us. “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Have we lost sight of what our God given purpose is? Do we understand the cost of his call? Or are we just content to just go to church, live surrounded by believers and ignore the work to be done? Jesus is calling us to die: to ourselves, to our desires, to our friends and family. But He is also calling us to live. When we take a serious look at what Jesus really meant when he said “Follow Me”, we’ll discover there is far more pleasure to be experienced in him than anywhere else.
