Thanksgiving Banquet for the Homeless

200 volunteers from the Rock Church come together to personally invite and serve the homeless of San Diego to a hot and delicious traditional Thanksgiving meal prepared and hosted by the San Diego Rescue Mission, www.sdrescue.org. They not only receive a meal, but also a gift bag of much needed items such as foot powder, lotion, toothpaste, a toothbrush, and deodorant.

We have partnered with the Rescue Mission for this event for over 5 years and it never ceases to amaze us. We look forward to another blessed outreach as we serve those in need.

How You Can Get Involved

Donate

1. Items being collected: foot powder, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant
2. Drop off your items at church from Saturday, October 21 - Sunday, November 12. Look for the San Diego Rescue Mission bins dispersed throughout the Sanctuary and Lobby.
3. Please note: we are only collecting the specified items above. All other types of donations should be given to the San Diego Rescue Mission directly.

Volunteer (all volunteers must be 18 years or older)

1. The Outreach Teams hit the streets of San Diego to personally invite the homeless to our Thanksgiving meal. Teams will be made up of 4-5 people.
   - Outreach Team 1 must be available Saturday, November 18, 8 AM - 12 PM
   - Outreach Team 2 must be available Saturday, November 18, 11 AM - 2 PM
2. The Food Serving Team helps with set-up and clean-up and serves food, desserts, and drinks.
   - This team must be available Saturday, November 18, 11:30 AM - 6 PM.
3. To volunteer, please register below. Due to limited space and volunteer positions, no volunteers will be accepted the day of the event.
