About

Grief Recovery Small Group

Grief Support Groups are for anyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one. There are several different ways we can experience a loss which causes us to grieve and they are not all from death. The goal of these groups is to reshape lives, convert struggles into prayer and courage, and to allow God to show each person how to look to Him alone to fill their days and nights with His peace, joy, and healing.

The Grief Support Group meets for 7 weeks and goes through the instructional material in the book A Passage Through Grief by Barbara Baumgardner. Each week allows opportunities for discussion of the book content and for personal sharing which allows group members to talk about their feelings and experiences. Much healing occurs when people have the opportunity to share their grief experiences and to hear and see what God is doing them. People come to understand that they are not alone and that there are others who are going through similar experiences. The group becomes a family, with members ministering to each other. We offer separate groups for men and women which focus on the hope we have through Gods love and grace. Please allow yourself to heal by seeking guidance from the Lord and the body of Christ through a Grief Support Group.
