Women's Prison Ministry co-labors with Welcome Home Ministries.
Welcome Home Minitries is a comprehensive supportive services ministry for men and women leaving the jail/prison system in the San Diego California Area. Welcome Home has been working with this population for 7 years and have assisted thousands of men and women. Also, to assist all who activley participate in the ministry to remain free from incarceration and the chains of addiction of drugs and alcohol.
Welcome Home's main focus is support, love, and mentorship by other ex-offenders, however, supportive services include; assistance with job placement and training, monthly support meetings, assistance with transportation, food, clothing, court appearances, college applications, GED and other educational services.
Currently seeking women volunteers in San Diego County to assist as mentors in the jails with visits, letter writing, mentoring and fellowship, and peer-to-peer fellowship, meaning you are post-incarceration or a recovering addict.
