Pre-registration is now closed, but you can still come out and contribute your time to fulfill our commitment of 250,000 hours to the City of San Diego!  If you have any questions, please contact us at 619.226.7625.

IMPORTANT:  Tools are very limited; therefore, we are requesting everyone to bring their own tools (if possible).  For a complete list of tools, please click here.  WORK GLOVES ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND WILL NOT BE PROVIDED AT THE EVENT!

Due to the nature of work involved, we do not recommend children under the age of 10, although they are welcome.  Children under 17 years must be accompanied by parent or another adult with parental permission.

Rain or Shine:  We will still have the event if it rains.  If you pre-registered for Areas 6-9, we recommend boots due to mud and water from the recent rainfall.

Check-In: Volunteer check-in begins at 7:00 a.m.

Parking: Parking will be limited, so we encourage you to carpool.  Look for the Rock Church signs to direct you to the designated parking lot next to the recreation center.

Food: At noon, the City Block Party Ministry will be onsite hosting an event exclusively for the Serra Mesa residents.  Lunch will not be provided for Rock Church volunteers; however, water and granola bars will be available throughout the morning.

What to wear/bring:
Closed toe shoes/boots (we recommend you bring a plastic bag to store shoes in after the event, and a clean pair for your trip home)
Work gloves
Sunscreen/Hat
Long-sleeved shirts and long pants are strongly recommended - some areas contain plant material that may cause irritation to the skin, i.e. "stinging nettle".

***We need plastic 30 gallon trash cans to distribute mulch, so if you have one at home, please bring it!***

Community Service Hours:  For information regarding community service hours, please contact Cindy Jacques at cindy.jacques@therocksandiego.org.
