Bag 17 peaks in the San Gorgonio
area starting at Fish Fork and ending at Angelus Oaks in what will be a
very long day hike traverse that both starts & ends in the dark.
The 17 peaks include San Gorgonio, San Bernardino, Dobbs, Lake, Grinnell, Charlton,
and others. This extremely strenuous non-stop day hike will be
approximately 30 - 35 miles long with at least 9,000 of elevation gain
(uphill) with significant portions of cross-country travel (no trails)
and a likely hiking time of approximately 2:00 AM 10 PM (20 or more
continuous hours). For hardcore nuts with similar recent experience
only. Meeting location:11:30 PM on Fri. 6-24-11(yes just before midnight!) at the Scripps Poway Parkway P&R lot next to the USA Gas Station (12010 Scripps Highland Drive San Diego 92131:
take I-15, exit Scripps Poway Parkway heading east, turn left or north
into a cul-de-sac at the first signal light about 1 block east of
I-15 where youll see a USA gas station/ restaurant / several hotels.
