But bearing the image of God also encompasses certain responsibilities. We have the responsibility to be His friends and develop our relationships with Him, growing in faith and obedience to His Spirit and His Word. We each have the responsibility to become the person He created us to be, using the gifts and talents He gives us. And because we have authority over our environment, we also bear the responsibility to make it an environment in which others can flourish.
