Angel Tree Camp

And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. Matthew 18:5

There are 1.5 million children of prisoners, 7.3 million children have a parent under some form of correctional supervision of children with a parent in prison are under 5 years old; The majority of children are under 10; The average age is 8 and one in five children is present at their mother's arrest. Would you like to help these kids experience the joy of knowing their parents haven't forgotten them?

There are children right here, in our community, who are among the most at-risk children in the nation. Angel Tree provides an opportunity to connect with those families and begin ministering to them through a variety of seasonal ministry opportunities. God will use you to help these children and their families grow in their faith, strengthen their relationships with imprisoned parents, and fulfill the purposes that God has for their lives.

Medical Help/project Serve (Oak Bridge High School Camp Only)

The High School Camp is in need of some volunteers to help in two areas. please contact us, and we will give you more information Oak Bridge is looking for qualified certificated medical people to help with the medical needs of the Camp.

Camp is more than hot dogs, activities, and campfires. It's a chance for a child to hear the life-changing message that Jesus loves them, not only once but every day in a variety of ways. They'll hear Bible stories and they will be surrounded by loving camp counselors. For most prisoners' children, summer camp is only a dream. With mom or dad in prison, these kids are at a higher risk for drug abuse, violence, and experiencing prison time as well. But it doesn't have to be that way. Camp is the perfect opportunity to help them break the cycle, by introducing them to Christ. Kids who have attended tell us they look forward to this one week during the entire year, 80% ask the Lord to lead their life.

Camp is provided free of charge to the children, with our church raising the money to cover the cost (approximately $150 per child). Counselors (especially men!) are needed to work with the kids at the camp, and our goal is to have 1 counselor for 3 children. The counselors go for free and are simply there to hang out with the kids and love 'em up!

Our needs are

~PRAYER! God will get our kids there if we ask. He will find counselors for the children, money to send them, and the transportation to get them there. Please pray for the Lord to provide for all these areas.
