What is Lay/Pastoral Counseling?

Rock Care Counseling is designed to provide encouragement, insight and Biblical guidance to members during times of crisis, personal and family difficulties.

The Rock Care Counselor will listen, clarify, and offer hope, encouragement, prayer and sound Biblical advice. The Rock Care Counselor's goal is to help the counselee resolve the challenges he or she is having and help connect individuals to the body of Christ at the Rock.

What Lay/Pastoral Counseling is NOT:

Rock Care Counseling is not mental health care and should not be substituted for professional therapy or counseling if you are already under the care of a paid professional counselor. We do not preform psychiatric evaluations nor do we prescribe medication.

We are always looking for individuals with the love and heart of Christ who desire to help others. This ministry is not for the faint at heart. The process involves interviews and a lengthy training.
