What do I need to know about Bread of life outreach?

Our Outreach Bread of Life Ministries leave to minister to the homeless during the week nights from the downtown Third and Elm street intersection in the (north/east parking lot- map quest for directions or call one of the leaders). Volunteers start congregating at 6pm in the parking lot. Safety and the supplies are prayed over around 6:15pm-6:20pm in the parking lot. The team caravans in cars to approximately 2-3 downtown hot spot locations and minister until approximately 9:30pm.

What If I need to leave Early?

If you have to leave early any night, please be sure to take your own car from the parking lot and let your leaders know ahead of time before the outreach begins AND when you actually do take off.

RUNNING LATE???

Be sure to call your leaders if you are running late. They can wait for you or let you know what location they can meet you at.

What happens at Church without walls?

On Saturday mornings our Homeless Ministry Director, Estreanda Fulford leads the Church Without Walls service. This is a church service to approximately 15-100 homeless people in Balboa Park at the corner of Hawthorne and Sixth Avenue on the grass. It starts at 11am sharp. If you can free up time to be there around 10:45 am, we would be blessed to have you help set up the service and supply table

What you can bring to our outreaches?

1. Socks

2. Sweaters

3. underwear and t-shirts

5. water (cases)

6. Blankets

7. Sleeping Bags

8. Tents

9. sandwiches

10. Clean gently used clothing

11. Any type of soft packaged food

a. (i.e. granola bars, chips, pudding)

13. Jack in the box tacos and/or Sandwiches
