Pohaku Ukulele Ohana Classes
Pohaku Ukulele Ohana
"Pohaku Ohana" means Rock Family! proudly introduced the expansion of our own Ukulele Group which started in April 2011 as part of the Island Praise & Dance Ministry a Rock Sports group located in Liberty Station. Ukulele Classes are conducted under the direction of Unko Mo and Auntie Tina Kalohelani Malabanan every Tuesday from 7:00 PM to 8:45 PM at the Rock Church. Our purpose is to bring , women, and children that are believers and non-believers to Polynesian music, language, and dance through the meaning of songs, and movements with respect and honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In September of 2011 the Ukulele Class formed its Advanced Class for players with more experience and we were blessed with professional musicians performing songs in Hawaiian, Tahitian, Tongan, Samoan, Tagolog, and English. Our group has performed at the Pacific Islander Festival 2011, Japan's Tsunami Fundraiser, Rock Church Christmas Toys for Joys, and Hui 'o Hawai'i Club.
Beginner to Advanced Level.
Classes are lead by Unko Mo, Bruddah Joe Santa Maria and Bruddah Randy Sivila.
