How to Become a Marriage Coach

50% of marriages started today will end in divorce, The Marriage and Family Ministry recognizes an immediate responsibility to help couples begin to build and sustain better marriages,and families, and to help restore those marriages threatened by divorce.

  • Is God calling you to "Do Something" in this ministry utilizing your spiritual gifts?
  • Are you a spiritually mature couple (NOT PERFECT)?
  • Have you been married a minimum of five years?
  • Have you completed the A.R.M.Y. class?
  • Do you have a heart to help couples prepare for marriage, repair their marriage or enrich their marriage?

If you answered yes to all these questions, please complete the Marriage Coach Application for both you and your spouse and return it to us. After we receive your application, your next step will be to attend the Marriage Coach Training class.

MINISTRY DESCRIPTIONS AND DETAILS

Position: Premarital Coaches (small group)

Requirements: Complete & return the Marriage Coach Application
Attend: Premarital Coach training
Curriculum: Book: Preparing for Marriage - Rainey;
DVD: Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts - Parrott
DVD: Love & Respect - Eggerichs
Minimum Commitment: Lead two Premarital small group sessions per year.

Position: Marriage Coaches (couple to couple)

Requirements: Complete & return the Marriage Coach application
Attend: Marriage Coach training
Curriculum: Marriage Mentor Training & Curriculum Manual - Parrott
Minimum Commitment: "As needed basis" per couple

Position: Marriage Coach Builders (small group)

Requirements: Complete and return the Marriage Coach application
Attend: Marriage Coach Builder training
Curriculum: DVD: I Promise - Smalley;
DVD: Love & Respect - Eggerichs
Minimum Commitment: Lead two small group sessions per year

Position: Marriage Coach Support

Requirements: Complete and return the Marriage Coach application
Attend: Marriage Coach training
Minimum Commitment: Be available at end of Marriage & Family classes for those who have questions/concerns/prayer. Two classes per year
