Kids at Heart is a volunteer tutoring and mentoring ministry providing weekly one-on-one homework assistance and enrichment activities for low-income and racially diverse children in urban San Diego.

We are looking for people who can help us bring God's love and the Good News of the Gospel to inner-city children.

With over 4,000 inner-city students reading below their grade level, your help creates a great impact.  on many young lives in the less fortunate neighborhoods of San Diego. The children, in grades K-12, struggle to keep up in school for a variety of reasons -- from poverty, to language barriers, to peer pressure.

However, armed with the truth of the Good News and the belief that Jesus loves these children, we witness improvements in their reading, as well as in their self-confidence. So please join us in sharing the transforming love of Jesus Christ with at-risk children in the inner city.
