Backpacks of Hope

by Rock Church | July 16, 2013

Rock Kids is partnering with the Moore Oklahoma School District to collect new backpacks and school supplies for the children who lost everything in the devastating tornadoes. The tornadoes destroyed two of the elementary schools as well as several homes in the surrounding areas. Each backpack will include: grade appropriate school supplies, $100 gift card to purchase clothes, and a comfort item such as a new stuffed animal or quilt. We would like to put a note of encouragement in each backpack as well. Any other support is appreciated in regards to travel, gift cards and backpack supplies.

On July 29, our Rock Kids Staff will drive the truck to Oklahoma to hand deliver the items to the children! We know this project is bigger than we are, so we are trusting God to move in the hearts of the people to provide what is needed and help us deliver hope to the children in Oklahoma.

If you would like to support Backpacks of Hope click here to download the supply list. Bring in supplies or donations during the week or on Sundays to the lobby desk by Sunday, July 28.
