WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE!!! Come and join us on Saturday, February 7 at 8am at St. Mark's Lutheran Church located at 580 Hilltop, Chula Vista, CA 91910 for our February Homeless Outreach Event!! We will be joining the Urban Refuge and the Upper Room Community Church to make 50 sack lunches, which will include peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or turkey sandwiches. We will help prepare the sandwiches and help put together the lunches. After all the lunches are made, we will drive to the start of the trail head (about 3 miles away from St. Marks) to hike about 1.5-2 miles (flat - 3-4 miles round trip) down to the area they call "The Jungle." It is inhabited by a large group of people who are currently homeless. The start of the trail is near Plaza Bonita across the street from the Outback Steakhouse. It is along the bike path. If you can't make it at 8am, you can still meet the group at 10am at the trail head. We hope to see you there!
