What is the Annual Make a Difference Offering all About?

As a Do Something Church, our desire is to reflect the heart of Jesus by doing what he did. Jesus was radically generous with his life. He cared for the overlooked and oppressed, offered healing to the sick, brought hope to the hopeless, and ultimately gave his life for us on the cross.

Make A Difference - formerly known as All In - is focused on finding practical ways that we can serve the world with the same radical generosity that Jesus demonstrated. God has given Rock Church an extraordinary vision to see his kingdom come in San Diego and beyond, and we want to DO SOMETHING about it! Our goal is to raise over $7 million in special gifts (over and above tithes). Will you join us this year and make a difference?

Do Something to Make a Difference

Community Impact

Toys for Joy

This December, we will be celebrating our 25th anniversary of Toys for Joy. With the help of our faithful volunteers, donors, and partners, we are able to serve over 17,000 children and individuals per year by providing toys, resources, and hope in a season when many people need it the most. We are also celebrating our 25th year by serving families and community members for 25 days surrounding the event.

Freedom Center

Rock Church is redeeming a former strip club to serve survivors of human trafficking. On average, it takes 5-7 times of someone leaving a trafficking situation to be completely free of it, so we are transforming the building into a resource center that will assist victims as they heal and move toward a new life.

Rock Outreach Center

As a Do Something Church, we are committed to meet the needs of our community by distributing food, clothing, and essentials through a facility where we can also provide education, training, and community services.
Digital Initiatives

On-Demand Digital Platform

Just as we want to go into all the world and make disciples, so do we believe we are called to infuse the digital world with hope. This platform will provide 24-hour, on demand content to equip, educate, and inspire our Rock family and others. Content will include gospel presentations, training and education, online ministry, conferences, and Sunday services.

Digital Evangelism

We will continue our commitment to sharing the message of hope online and around the world to over one million people a month in English and Spanish, leading to an average of 30,000 decisions for Christ each month.

Rock Church App

Our new app will serve as a discipleship hub in which people from all backgrounds can connect, grow, and plug into opportunities to make a difference in the world.
Church Expansion

Leadership Development and Education

Rock Church is committed to raising up the next generation of leaders who will step up to BE the church in their family, workplace, church, and community! Because education is a huge component of leadership development, we are expanding Rock School of Ministry with the aim of inspiring, developing, and empowering women and men to be pastors and church leaders.

Church Planting

We believe that the local church is called to be a beacon of hope and resources to serve the surrounding community. Because of this, Rock Church is sending out pastors and leaders to plant churches in cities around the world and participate in God’s work of renewal.
World Missions

Partnerships and Mission Trips

As a full-fledged mission sending organization, Rock Church actively sends out short term mission teams and commissions long term missionaries to “go and make disciples of all nations.” Mission trips create opportunities for discipleship and mutual encouragement as the multicultural body of Christ connects in love and partnership. Our desire is to extend prayer, hope, and practical support to current and aspiring missionaries.

Rock Church has established many partnerships with local church leaders around the world, and these partnerships have led to our involvement in several projects aimed at bringing hope and restoration to those in need. Our most recent projects include supporting a boarding school in Haiti and providing food and other resources to Afghani refugees.
