Moms and Others: In Touch for Prayer and Praise

by Shelley Gilbert | September 24, 2009
Moms In Touch International and the Rock Church are hosting "Arise! Cry Out!" on October 9 and 10, 2009.

This prayer event celebrates the 25th anniversary of when founder and president Fern Nichols started to pray for her children as they attended school. Moms In Touch (momsintouch.org) grew out of her desire and obedience to God to get like-minded moms together to pray for their children and the schools they attend. The ministry has expanded throughout the United States and into 132 countries worldwide.

Women are attending the event from all over the world. I'll be traveling all the way from El Cajon. I have been involved with Moms In Touch for six years. It has deepened my faith and reliance on God as He has provided miracle after miracle in answered prayers for my daughter. The friendships I have made with women who are true prayer warriors has been a wonderful and unexpected gift from the Lord.

On Friday, October 9, 2009, participants will join together in praise and worship, focusng on what God has done in the 25 years since Nichols started praying.

Moms in Touch has deepened my faith and reliance on God as He has provided miracle after miracle in answered prayers for my daughter.

On Saturday, October 10, four hours of the the event will be a live taping of prayer and celebration, with the video to be aired November 14, the Worldwide Day of Prayer.

Pastor Miles will be participating, and Crimson Bridge will be the worship team.
