Join the Hiking Ministry family from the Rock Church as we do a weeknight hike at Mission Trails Regional Park. It will be a fun time of fellowship while enjoying the beauty of God's creation! We will hike the Big Rock Trail from Santee to the intersection of the Cowles Mountain Service Road, which goes up the backside of Cowles Mountain (We will not be hiking to Cowles). This hike offers a different perspective of Mission Trails Regional Park and a nice change of scenery. Dogs (on leash) are permitted. This hike may not be suitable for kids.
I'm rating this hike as moderate-difficult. There is elevation gain of approximately 700 feet and switchbacks to climb. Please self-evaluate your fitness and hiking levels before attempting this hike.
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." - Psalm 23:4
More information on the hike can be found here. (We will be only doing the hike up to the Cowles Service Road).
