Torrey Pines State Beach Hike

Join us for an awesome adventure as we hike at Torrey Pines State Beach!

We will meet at the North Beach Restrooms, 1800 McGonigle Rd., San Diego 92014 at 3:45 p.m. You can park in the lot for a fee or park for free on Carmel Valley Rd. Total hiking distance is about 5 miles.

This hike is moderate. Please self-evaluate your fitness and hiking levels before attempting this hike. The hike is kid friendly, but may be too long.

Dogs and pets are NOT permitted at Torrey Pines State Beach.

What to Expect

• Difficulty: Moderate
• Distance: 5.0 miles (round trip)
• Hiking Time: approximately 3 hours
• Dogs are not permitted
• Weather: Warm, but cools quickly in the late afternoon, breezy
• Restrooms are available at the starting point and along the hike

What to bring

• Good running/hiking shoes
• Comfortable clothing, wear layers as it will cool down
• Hat or Visor
• Hiking Poles (optional)
• Flashlight or headlamp as it will get dark
• Sunscreen
• Water (at least 1 liter recommended)
• Snacks
