How can you help?
Pray - Pray, pray, pray for the event, preparation, inmates and team members.
Cookies- We need up to 5,000 "HOME-BAKED" dozen cookies for a typical Kairos weekend. Do the math?!?! = 60,000 cookies! Cookies are available during the entire weekend. Please place one dozen homemade cookies (using refrigerated dough is fine!) in a clear one-gallon Ziploc bag. The cookies should be kept simple and cannot contain toppings (including sugar, sprinkles, or frosting). May God bless you for the gift of baking!
Letters- On the 3rd day, the inmates receive a "Personal Agape bag", a lunch bag containing 50-100 pieces of mail personally addressed to them. Cards and letters each one handwritten addresed with their name; words of encouragement and prayers for them. Some inmates havent received one piece of mail in many months, even years. These letters are an outpouring of love bringing the most hardened inmates to tears as their hearts are touched by a love most of them never felt before. Each letter of encouragement (40 letters total) must contain the same message to every inmate and be handwritten (no photocopies!) in black or blue ink. Place each letter in an unsealed envelope and write the inmates name on the outside. You can start writing letters now, leaving the name blank. We will send out the list of the candidates' names as we get closer to the event. They can be on any paper or card stock just as long it does not contain glitter or removable pieces. Please do not seal the envelopes.
THE LETTERS AND COOKIES ARE EXAMPLES OF GOD'S LOVE, GRACE, AND MERCY FOR THESE BROKEN MEN. ALL AGES MAY PARTICIPATE.
