Rock Baptism!
What you should know:
As a church, we believe that baptism is a public proclamation of our personal faith in Christ, not an act of salvation. There are three prerequisites or rules for baptism at our church:
1. You must be a Christian; you will be given this opportunity at the baptism if you are not already a Christian.
2. You must be over the age of 4. (Since baptism is not an act of salvation, one must be of the age to reasonably make a decision for Christ.)
3. We strongly discourage those who are not actively seeking to live a life pleasing to God, to change their lifestyle before they are baptized.
If you would like any clarification or counsel regarding these matters, please contact the church office.
What you should wear:
Guys: Swim trunks and a t-shirt
Ladies: A one-piece bathing suit with a colored t-shirt, or board-shorts (or the like).
What you should bring:
- Friends and family
- Towel
- Extra clothes to change into after you are finished
Please remember to fill out a registration form after you arrive at Mariner's Point.
Directions:
-From South or East San Diego, take I-8 to the Sports Arena Blvd. exit, make a right onto West Mission Bay
Drive and continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp.
-Continue over the bridge and the parking lot will be on the left-hand side.
-From North San Diego, take I-5 to the Sea World Drive exit, make a right onto Sea World Drive and
continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp. Continue over the bridge and the parking lot will be on the
left-hand side.
-Parking is free in these lots.
