Uganda has endured the scourge of civil war and a deadly AIDS epidemic which nearly wiped out an entire generation, yet in the midst of the suffering, the Gospel goes out.
This will be BWO’s ninth year to serve the beautiful people of Uganda. Our goal is to send a team of people willing to be the hands and feet of Jesus, reaching out to widows, orphans, and hurting individuals in the villages of Masaka and Jinja. Ministry opportunities include orphanage ministry, evangelism, drama, medical, construction, and VBS.
In Masaka, much of our time will be spent soaking in the rural culture. We will work side by side with Ugandan men and women of faith, giving us the opportunity to see both the beauty and hardship through their eyes. Our team will minister in village
churches, schools, and local orphanages, as well as have the opportunity to meet beautiful children who will run to greet you!
In Jinja, we will serve in outreach to surrounding areas with Calvary Chapel Jinja, hold medical clinics in the villages, and work in local orphanages.
Those ministering in the orphanages will divide their time between Amani Baby Cottage, home to approximately 70 orphans ages 0-5, and Home Sweet Home, who cares for 16 special needs children.
Jesus dwells among the least of them.
