Receive More Than You Give
Travel to Costa Rica and experience the highs and lows of this country and its people: Lush rainforests and poverty, magnificent mountains and single parent homes, volcanoes and refugees.
Needy refugees have flocked to makeshift beach communities like, Jaco Beach. While the surf and party scent give an alluring exterior, the barrios of this city are filled with poverty, drugs, and prostitution. The Nicaraguans that have moved to Costa Rica for a better life are looked down upon by nationals. Many are in Costa Rica illegally, so they don’t get proper medical care for fear of being sent bak to Nicaragua. Most end up in the barrios, such as “The River Bed”, trapped in utter poverty.
We will partner with Calvary Chapel Christian Fellowship Jaco and Pastor Mike Lawrence, ministering through evangelism, drama, construction, VBS, medical clinics, sports outreach, cosmetology, and even hip hop. All you need is a heart to serve!
