The Rock Church Basketball Ministry is hosting the 1stAnnual Hoops-4-Heroes Basketball Tournament on November 15, 2014, at Grossmont High School in El Cajon, California. Hoops-4-Heroes is a men’s 5-on-5 basketball tournament featuring teams that represent different branches of military and law enforcement agencies.
The Hoops-4-Heroes event is designed to support, honor and recognize the men and women of the armed forces and local first responders (police, fire, emergency, hospital, etc.), through an afternoon of basketball competitions, accompanied with Live Music, Raffles and Food.
In honor of our fallen Heroes, all proceeds from the event will be donated to the families of fallen Heroes.
We will be recognizing the following Fallen Heroes:
Brian Bennett – United States Marine: passed away in a fatal car crash;
Laura Perez – Escondido Police Officer: shot and killed inside of her home;
WE NEED BASKETBALL TEAMS MADE UP OF MILITARY OR LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL to play in the Hoops 4 Heroes tournament to represent and honor the fallen soldiers and officers. Cost is $100 per team, Price includes team event t-shirt
