RESONATE
The Rock Church Choir
Welcome to Resonate, the choir ministry of the Rock Church! After many meetings and brainstorming, we believe God has a new path and direction for the Rock Church Choir. We want to grow closer to God through worship. We also want the members of the choir to become excellent musicians no matter what previous musical training they have had. Each week, we are going to achieve these two things by going deeper in worship and by learning the fundamentals of singing.
In our time of extended worship, well be learning how to connect with God through music. Through a time of corporate prayer and worship, youll be challenged to meet God on a more personal level. Well also be learning more about our voices and music in general (i.e.: rhythm, note reading, vocal technique and vocal style).
After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to name the choir Resonate. Luke 19:40 says If they keep quiet the rocks will cry out. Even the rocks cry out praise to God. We want to be louder than the rocks. We want our lives and our voices to Resonate Gods glory. Our prayer is that our ministry will resonate throughout these walls and reach the city of San Diego.
