Muscles, Moving & Trucks!

WE NEED MUSCLES & TRUCKS!

Share Ministry is desperate for some volunteers with muscles and vehicles (trucks or vans) who can help us get donated furniture or appiances to those in need.

We frequently get last minute offers for couches, beds, tables, and appliances BUT we have a very limited number of strong and faithful servants who help us in this area. In one week alone we have had donations of 4 couches, 4 beds, a dining table with 6 chairs, 3 coffee tables, 6 end tables, and 2 dressers with mirrors.

But, trying to coordinate the moving and delivery of these items to the families in dire need of them has been a real challenge. Our usual, overworked, die-hard, volunteers have come through again - BUT this is at their own expense for gas, not to mention the time and physical effort involved.

We hate to lose items because we can't find anyone to help move them, especially when we have folks on our waiting lists for these items - and some of these folks at times are actually sleeping on the floor of their apartments and have next to nothing furniture-wise.

Now, I know this is asking a lot but IF we could get about 52 folks to volunteer to drive their vehicle for just ONE week a year - that's ONE vehicle a week to be available to help move furniture items donated during that week - we could solve this pressing problem.

Then, along with those who volunteer for our "Muscle" list, we could team folks up and make the magic happen!

We sure are praying that God is speaking to YOU to offer up just ONE week per year to help bless folks who truly need to be blessed.
