Who Gets Share Donations?

Share Ministry officially came into existence in December 2004 and has helped thousands of men, women, and children in need within San Diego and in Mexico. Share has also assisted numerous families and individuals in need within the Rock Church. Share provides ongoing donations of clothing, shoes, bedding and other items to the Bread of Life Homeless Ministry, Rock's Prison Ministries, and a Mexican Outreach group. Share also fills for individuals who come to the Rock in need of clothing and other items.

 

In May 2005, Share also hosted and organized the Rock Rummage Sale, which invited other ministries to sell items and raise money to help raise funds for the Costa Rica mission trip. The event raised $3000.

 As of 03-14-2007, Share has distributed over 100,000 items.

Share has also hosted four Free Clothing Boutiques:

·        Women Helping Women (event for homeless women and women in need - over 1000 items distributed)

·        Rock Women's Boutique (approximately 800 items distributed)

·        Back to School Boutique (approximately 2000 items distributed to Rock families, military families, and local families in need - 350 people received items) 

AND...our 1st annual Toys For Joy Angel Closet, where hundreds of families in need, were given the opportunity  to "shop" for free! Over 5,000 items, including dress shoes, sneakers, jackets, coats, shirts, jeans, blouses, dresses, and more, went home with these grateful men, women and kids.
