VOTING ROCKS!

Get registered to vote before the May 21st deadline. You can register in the lobby at the Salt and Light table on May 6th at all 5 services. Also don't forget to pick up a voter's guide.

Reasons you might need to register:
1. You've moved since the last election
2. You'll turn 18 by November 6th
3. You want to change party affiliation
4. You want to get a ballot by mail
5. You've changed your name

Important Dates:
May 7, 2012 - First day mail ballots will be available. 
First day early voting available at RoV. RoV is open for voting 8 am to 5 pm Monday thru Friday
May 15, 2012 - Mail ballot processing (signature checking) begins.

May 21, 2012 - Last Day to Register to Vote
May 25, 2012 - Opening and preparing mail ballots for computer tabulation
May 28, 2012 - Mail ballot scanning process begins (computer processing).

May 29, 2012 - Last Day to Apply for a Mail.
Ballot Request due to RoV by 5 pm.
June 5, 2012 - Election Day
Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Registrar of Voters Office is open for voting 7 a.m. through 8 p.m.

Other Important Info:
Under a new voter approved method, all candidates (except presidential candidates), including those preferring major parties, minor parties, or no party at all, will be on the same ballot. Voters will be able to freely choose among the candidates regardless of their party preference or the candidate's party preference. Only the top two vote getters for each office including U. S. Senate, U.S. Representative, State Senate, and State Assembly will advance to the November 6, 2012 General Election.
