Rock Your City Event

Join us on Saturday, March 16 from 7:00am to 1:00pm for our first Rock Your City event of 2013!
We will be painting, landscaping and cleaning up Central Elementary School* and Park de la Cruz in City Heights!
*NOTE: We are looking for skilled/technical/journeyman level volunteers for Central Elementary School due to the nature of the work required. This is NOT a Family Friendly site; therefore, children under 18 years old will not be permitted to volunteer at this site. Families are welcome to volunteer at Park de la Cruz!
CHECK IN: Check in time for Park de la Cruz and Central Elementary School is 7am.
PARKING: There are parking lots adjacent to Park de la Cruz and Central Elementary School. Please follow the signs posted along the street. DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE! The Rock Church is not liable for any lost or stolen property.
FOOD: Lunch will NOT be provided; however, water and snack bars will be available throughout the morning. We also recommend that you bring your own source of water for back-up.
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: Closed toed shoes, hat, long-sleeved shirt and long pants are strongly recommended. Please wear sunscreen!
WEATHER: The weather will be warm and beautiful, so please make every effort to use sunscreen and wear a hat or visor. Also, drink plenty of fluids and stay hydrated! There will be enough water onsite for two to three bottles per volunteer, but you may want to plan ahead and bring your own as well.
TOOLS: If possible, please bring the following tools: brooms, hand trowels, hoes, loppers, leaf rakes, pruning shears, rakes, flat-head shovel, pointed shovels, tree saws, weed-eaters. Please be sure to label your personal tools with your name and phone number.
IMPORTANT: Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult and have the Parental Permission Form signed by a parent/legal guardian to submit at check-in, if not attending with parent/legal guardian. Please download the Parental Permission Form, print, sign, and submit upon event day check-in. NO MINOR WILL BE PERMITTED TO VOLUNTEER WITHOUT THIS FORM UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN!
