Carpool Meeting Time is 7:45am (Location/directions below)
Carpool leaves at 8:00am
Moderate to Strenuous
Distance: 4 miles round trip
Hiking Time: Approximately 3 hours
Suitable for active dogs and kids
Weather: Hike will be canceled if it is pouring rain.
What to bring:
-Good hiking/tennis shoes
-Hiking Poles
-Comfortable clothes/Swimsuit
-Cell phone
-Water/vitamin water and snacks.
-Pack lunch
Carpool meeting location: Office Depot Parking Lot 8740 Rio San Diego Drive, San Diego, CA 92108
Three Sisters Falls Approximate Address: 14740 Boulder Creek Rd, Cleveland National Forest, Descanso, CA 91916
Please follow directions: (Cell phone reception is weak once you arrive in Descanso)
-Exit interstate 8, exit at highway 79 (the Descanso exit) and drive north
-After 1.3 miles turn left on Riverside Drive. Continue 0.6 mile to the main crossroads (post office, etc) of the hamlet of Descanso.
-From there take Oak Grove Drive 1.6 miles to the intersection of Boulder Creek Road on the right.
-Follow Boulder Creek Road north for 13.0 miles (the first half is paved and the rest is dirt) to a hairpin turn where unpaved Cedar Creek
-Road joins from the west. Parking is on the side of the road. Please do not to block traffic as there is no parking lot.
(This hairpin turn and intersection can also be reached, more circuitously, by way of Engineers Road or Pine Hills Road to the north.)
