HELP PETS IN NEED!! PLEASE DONATE PET FOOD Hellen Woodward Animal Center's
For many homebound seniors and disabled, the cost and ability to acquire pet food can often prove to be an insurmountable obstacle. Many of these individuals will resort to sharing their own meals with their beloved companions rather than letting them go hungry. The AniMeals program at Helen Woodward Animal Center is a pet-food-on-wheels service which helps these homebound individuals keep their pets without sacrificing their own health. We work in conjunction with various partners including Meals-on-Wheels, Aging and Independence Services, Wounded Warriors at Camp Pendleton and various senior centers throughout the county. AniMeals coordinates pet food donations, meal packaging, and delivery of food to these distribution centers.
A companion pet provides unconditional love and comfort and can be essential to our own health and happiness. The AniMeals program is working hard to keep people together with their best friends without sacrifice and YOU can help us make this happen!
We are looking for any brand of canned or dry dog and cat food. We only ask that the product is unopened, unexpired and non-prescription.”
