Rock Your City Beautification Event - San Marcos

Rock Your City Events @ Rock Church San Marcos is partnering with the Center for Natural Lands Management (http://www.cnlm.org) to clean-up the Meadowlark Preserve in San Marcos! Please join us in creating a safe and natural habitat for small wildlife and beautiful foliage indigenous to this area. This event will take place on March 11th, 2017 from 8:30am-11:30am. Lunch will be served at our church campus after.

This will be a great opportunity to not only give back and love on the community but be a blessing to the wildlife that call this canyon home. Please register on line if possible, or show up by 8:30am to sign up and join us for this event. After meeting at the Rock San Marcos campus, you will be bussed to the site.

Join us as we help to RESTORE and BRING LOVE, LIFE and LIGHT to the community!

Bring your family and friends! Let’s share our FAITH with our brothers and sisters while enhancing God’s beautiful creation.

Please consider the following:

• Show up by 8:30am to check in so the bus can get us to the site on time
• Wear sunscreen and/or a hat
• Wear sturdy, closed toe shoes/boots, a long sleeve shirt and pants (because it’s a canyon so it's rough terain)
• Bring gloves and any gardening tools if you have them (we have some but could use more)
• Parking will be at the Rock San Marcos church (1370 W. San Marcos Blvd., San Marcos 92078) and a bus will take you to the site
• Snacks and water will be provided during the project and lunch after at the church

The positions we will be volunteers are:

• Volunteer check-in (at the church)
• Food prep, serving & clean up (at the church)
• Weeding, clipping, possible tilling soil for future planting
• General clean up of any debris

We look forward to serving along side you as we go about restoring this habitat but also offering words of encouragement and unity throughout our community. Let’s come out and be a blessing!
