Sisters In Christ Evening Bible Study - Pt. Loma

Sisters In Christ is a special time for women of Rock Church to worship, pray, study the Word of God, share testimonies, and enjoy fellowship in a small group setting to gain spiritual and practical guidance for everyday living.  The first hour we worship, have a speaker share her testimony or a ministry speaker, followed by a short bible study. The second hour we break out into classes which are listed below. The room is chilly! You might want to bring a sweater and definitely bring a friend!

A Kingdom Woman Prays - led by Andree Jackson Rogers.                                                      

A woman's supplication brings blessings to a nation. We should seek our Father in all that we do. Learn to surrender, trust and communicate with our Lord God .

Passage Through Grief  - led by Janet Muniz                                                                               

A passage through grief offers healing opportunities for various forms of loss, whether it's death, divorce, break-up, abortion, etc., through journaling. You will need a book for this journaling class, A Passage Through Grief, which is out of print.  There are a few slightly used copies available in class or you can download a copy through Amazon of At this time this class is closed.

Spiritual Wellness Stretch and Strength - led by Genoveva Rodriguez and Raquel Mills

This Spirit-led exercise class is designed to give your mind, Spirit, and soul the rest it seeks through Jesus' yoke. God called us to be listening Mary's and not laboring Martha's. We will be doing a combination of gentle dynamic and static stretches with Scripture. Please bring the following to class: exercise mat or large towel, water, bible, journal, and pen. Please seek physician approval if you are pregnant or unsure whether to participate in the stretch class.  

Discussion of Karen Steven's weekly Bible study - led by Cindy McNeely and Sheila Davis We will be leading a discussion group that will go deeper into our Winter study led by Karen Stevens. This will be a time of fellowship, companionship, and loving support as we share with each other what God is blossoming in each of our lives. It will be an open discussion time where we can share our thoughts, our questions, and our observations with each other and support one another as we learn and continue to nourish what God is planting within us at this time.

Girls With Swords - led by Jaiya Clarke, and Ana Ledesma

Creatively forging the Imagery of swords, the Word of God, and the Cross, Girls with Swords will teach you:

  • How to speak the language of heaven on earth
  • What it means to intercede
  • What it means to carry your cross
  • What it means to be discerning
  • How to disarm the enemy
  • Why women are the enemy's target
  • Why God needs Women to be heroes

It's time to pick up your sword and be a hero!

Women of Worship - Kenia Hayes-Watson  

Women of worship is designed to encourage you, challenge you and set you on a path to live a life worthy of what God has called you to.  With worship being the focus of this class, we will explore what worshiping God in truth and in spirit really looks like in our day-to-day lives.  Whether you're looking to gain a better understanding of worship or just desiring to go deeper in your walk with God, I welcome you.

Moses - Shocked in the Desert, Learning God's Ways So We can Enter the Promised Land led by Alane Haynes

Alane Haynes will teach from her book, “Moses – Shocked in the Desert.” Using Biblical examples of how God often “shocks” us to get us in line with His purposes, you will be taught deep truths about God’s ways and how they relate to your Christian walk. You will receive tools that will provide:

  • an increased ability to hear God and see what He is doing in your life;
  • clarity and understanding in areas of confusion and recurring situations;
  • breaking of strongholds as you begin to recognize ungodly mindsets and become aligned to the mind of Christ;
  • an understanding of the power of words – God’s and your own;
  • increased hunger God’s word and for more of His presence;
  • impartation of faith creating vision and strength to move forward in your walk with Christ.

Releasing Kingdom Children led by Christina Hogue 

Children are a very special gift from God. Arrows: Releasing Kingdom Children was created for you and your children to grow spiritually in the home. Our hope is that you come away from this course feeling empowered and equipped to help your children know God more. Our prayer is that Arrows will be a jumpstart in your spiritual journey with your children and help you bring the kingdom culture into your home. A journal is highly recommended.

The Faithful led by Lisa McLaughlin and Ollie Shepherd
