Gentle Stretch and Strengthen
A Christ-centered alternative to yoga class for women, including scripture meditation, prayer, conditioning & restorative postions, breathing and rest.
All fitness levels are welcome and it is recommended that any/all participants have ability to get down on the floor and back up safely.
What to expect: please dress for comfortable movement, bring an exercise mat (thin sticky is best), a small towel/blanket for comfort, cushioning and warmth, water to drink (before and after is best), a journal, bible, pen and anything else you might need to fully enjoy the class. This class includes a gentle warm-up for cardiovascular and joint benefits, a conditioning and balancing series using leg, arm, abdominal and back muscles. Stretching can include standing, seated and supine/prone positions. Restorative positions and posture alignment holds will be exteneded for at least 5 breath sets. Modifications will be offered as needed. A cooldown and rest will complete this comprehensive stretching and strengthening session.

Spiritual Wellness Ministry offers stretching and strengthening classes to the church and community as a way to find the rest of Jesus without any worldly influence or strongholds. God's word is used liberally and without shame. As a Christ-centered ministry and alternative to yoga, our certified instructors are invested in providing safe, effective exercises that warm, condition and open major muscular areas of the body as well as bringing the rest of Jesus into each class experience.

Spiritual Wellness stretching & strengthening classes are for women only. Childcare is not available for this class.
