Do you want to GROW in your marriage and family? No matter how long you have been married or what stage you are in, this class is for you!
In this four week class we will cover the most important topics that marriage experts say will make your marriage and family stronger and last a lifetime.
Instructor: Kristin Green, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Syllabus:
Communication Styles and Skills How we speak to each other matters, how we nonverbally communicate matters even more sometimes.  This class will focus on identifying the ways we communicate, styles and how this may come across to the people who matter most, our families. This will build the foundation of the next three weeks of class.

Understanding Behaviors and Unmet Needs When we are able to look at what is driving a behavior we can pull from resources to support a shift in behaviors and meet needs in ways that work for the family. It's really not about you, it's about the person working through a need to regulate the body. We will focus on all the 5 senses and ways to support regulation of ourselves and our children.

Parenting Together When we are able to set boundaries and check our expectations of others and ourselves the load lightens for all people in the family.   This class will focus on the ways our families have come together, what we bring into our families from our childhood.  We will focus on ways to come together in parenting.

Priorities, Balance and Implementation This week we will get realistic about how to implement the strategies discussed in the previous weeks.  We will also look at barriers to change and engage new and old skills to break the barriers down.
