Mission Trip to Uganda

About

Prisoners of Hope is traveling to Uganda February 17th-26th, 2020. Our ministry in Uganda is primarily going to center around orphans and prisoners. They are the most vulnerable and susceptible to being abused. It’s where the need is. Nearly 50% of the population is under the age of 14. Education is the key to rising above poverty, but only 25% get beyond grade 6, which leads to 38% of kids being educationally undernourished and stunted. But statistics are faceless and cold. The reality is that in spite of their trials, you’ll find the people of Uganda warm and friendly; you’ll be mobbed (in a good way) every time you do ministry by kids who just want to be near you. Your ministry will include a groundbreaking experience as POH officially adopts a needy orphanage. We will also be visiting some prisons. On any given day, our team will find ourselves in a slum, orphanages, or we will be installing clean water systems in some of the poorest prisons in the world. The vast spiritual and physical needs in Uganda are surely close to the heart of Jesus. Join us for an adventure of a lifetime that will be sure to change your world view exponentially. Fist time missionaries and seasoned vets are all invited on this once in a lifetime experience.
