Happy New Year! The Hiking Ministry family from the Rock Church starts the new decade with a moderate hike at the West Sycamore Extension of Mission Trails Regional Park. It will be a fun time of fellowship while enjoying the beauty of God's creation.
Though a part of Mission Trails, the West Sycamore Extension is separated from the rest of the park by MCAS Miramar. Our adventure will begin at the West Sycamore staging area and will take us to the Goodan Ranch/Sycamore Canyon County Preserve trailhead, where we will continue to the Ranger station. So we'll actually be hiking in two different preserves! Hope to see you all there!
This hike is rated as moderate with several hills. Please self-evaluate your fitness and hiking levels before attempting this hike. A map of the West Sycamore Extension is located here.
