Discuss local and missionary opportunities for individuals and teams that want to use their education, gifts and talents in serving Christ. Things we'd like to hear from our Rock medical professionals:
- What hinders us? Time? Money? Fatigue? Entitlement (ours or our patient's)?
- What fuels us/lights our passion?
- What would you like to do in service? Local opportunities like free clinics? One day outreaches? Going somewhere you've never been or serving a certain people group?
- If you could go on a short term mission trip, what would make it realistic for you? The length of the trip, who's on your team, location?
This is a vehicle for medical professionals to have high impact while being the hands and feet of Jesus to marginalized people. Certainly missions will be a big part of that, but local outreach is vital as well. Let's flourish and thrive as followers of Christ and recognize spiritual opportunities when we share our gifts and talents, perhaps even discipling those among us (Rgroup or Dgroup possibilities with your peers!).
