Join us as we journey to Cabrillo National Monument. It's National Public Lands Day and admission is FREE! ($20 savings). We will meet at the sign in front of the Visitor Center at 9:30 a.m. Allow extra time to arrive as many will take advantage of the free admission. Gates open at 9 a.m.
The hike will be divided into 2 segments. We'll start at the visitor center and hike down the Bay Side Trail (hiking level: moderate), which offers spectacular views of San Diego, Coronado and points east. There, we will have a time of worship and head back up to the historic lighthouse. At this point, if you do not wish to continue on the Ocean Side Trail (hiking level: difficult), you can opt out. After the hike, we will find a place to have lunch.
Please self-evaluate your hiking and fitness levels before attempting this journey. You are welcome to hike at your pace. However, if you fall behind, it will be your responsibility to finish the hike.
You must sign the Rock Church waiver form to participate on this hike. Forms will be available at the event.
