Gospel Line Dance Ministry Meeting

Welcome to the Gospel Line Dance Ministy! We are meeting at the Point Loma Campus.

1st Floor, Room 144 (behind the community room)

After you enter the lobby, walk past the elevators and the community room, go through the double doors on your right, and walk all the way down the walkway almost to the end. Room 144 will be on your right.

Study (6:00pm-7:00pm) and line dancing (7:00pm-8:00pm).

We are continuing our study through the Book of Esther (study below). During our line dancing time, we will learn easy beginner level line dances.

SESSION GOALS

MAIN IDEA: We can rejoice always in the decisive intervention of Jesus on our behalf.

Head Change: To know that Jesus didn’t just risk His life, as Esther did; He gave His life, for us.

Heart Change: To feel grateful that, because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we can enjoy God’s favor.

Life Change: To confess our sins and gratefully accept the life and freedom Jesus won for us when He intervened on our behalf.

Read Philippians 2:5–11. What did Jesus give up, to be with us on Earth? How do His words in Matthew 26:42 reveal the posture of His heart towards His Father? 

LAST WORD
Esther’s identification with her people, and her intervention on their behalf in the face of their hopeless impotence to save themselves from Haman’s cruel campaign, rescued them from tragedy. Her story mirrors the ultimate story of rescue and redemption that Jesus came to live for – and die for. His identification with us through His incarnation, and His intervention on our behalf on the cross in the face of our hopeless impotence and inability to save ourselves from sin and spiritual death, rescues us from eternal separation from God and wins us God’s favor and eternal freedom. May this glorious, gospel truth encourages you today, and may you know that you were born for such a time as this.
