Gospel Line Dance Ministry Meeting

Welcome to the Gospel Line Dance Ministry! We are meeting at the Point Loma Campus.

1st Floor, Room 144 (behind the community room)

After you enter the lobby, walk past the elevators and the community room, go through the double doors on your right, and walk all the way down the walkway almost to the end. Room 144 will be on your right.

Study (6:00pm-7:00pm) and line dancing (7:00pm-8:00pm).

During our study time, we will study and discuss Jesus' Sermon on the Mount (discussion questions below). During our line dancing time, we will learn easy beginner level line dances.

SERMON ON THE MOUNT STUDY - GOD'S WAY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Read: Matthew 5: 13-16

Group Discussion. Who has been like a Bible for you, showing in their life what God is like? What did that person say or do that showed God to you?

Personal Reflection. In what ways have Christians had a positive influence on society?

1. What positive qualities of salt and light do you think Jesus had in mind as lie spoke these words?

2. What has been in the news lately that indicates society is rotting and decaying?

3. What are some practical ways we can function as salt where we live and work (v. 13)?

4. What might cause Christians to lose their saltiness (v. 13)?

5. How can we positively promote the spread of truth in the world?

6. What examples can you think of where the work of Christians has brought people closer to God?

7. What relationship do you see between the Beatitudes and our role as salt and light in society?
