Intermediate / Advanced - Nobel Canyon (mikes birthday!)
NOBLE CANYON25+ miles w/ 2,000' gain (shuttle)

Check out the photo Gallery for many past trips, here's just one of them.

Also Check out this video from Nobel Canyon.

This is one of our FAVORITE local trails in San Diego! However, please be aware this is an ADVANCED Cross Country Epic ride. We are adding extra miles with real elevation gain making this a XC ride WITH downhill. For downhillers, unless you can climb like a monkey, this ride is not for you. We are keeping the pace quick and encourage all serious XC riders to join us. Due to a demand by a few 'hardcore' people, we will be splitting this into TWO rides! There will be a climbing ride and a shuttle ride!

For the people climbing, we will leave the Nobel Canyon trailhead and climb the fireroad to Indian Creek. From here we'll meet up with the group on the Nobel Canyon trail. The climb is VERY steep and only for hardcore, advanced climbers.

For those don't want to climb - AS MUCH, we do part shuttle and part climbing. We meet at the Nobel Canyon trailhead at 8:45 sharp. YOU WILL NEED AND ADVENTURE PASS TO PARK!!! PLEASE BUY YOUR PASS BEFORE ARRIVING. Passes can be purchased at sporting goods stores, A-16 and REI.

We shuttle and park at the kiosk when entering Cleveland National Forest off Sunrise. From here we ride up a fireroad and then take awesome singletrack to the best part of the Laguna loop. Fast, swoopy singletrack with views of the ocean. Eventually, we'll either continue to the Nobel Trailhead OR we'll exit Big Laguna Campground. This is the potential bypass junction due to the fire. Either way, we'll soon be on the Nobel trail for the downhill technical section meeting up with the climbers. This is where true downhill handling skills excel. The devotional will be at Indian Creek junction. Towards the bottom we continue the Cross Country theme climbing up to a saddle. From here it is a steep, technical drop back to the cars.

Once again, this ride is for advanced riders who love to climb. By picking the ride which best fits your skills, you and the other riders will be guaranteed an awesome time!

What to bring:1. Helmet. No helmet, no ride.
2. CLEVELAND NATIONAL FOREST PASS!
